Location: Central US or Eastern States in the US, close to a major airport
Salary: $40/hr - $53/hr   +  Overtime Pay for hours worked over (40)/week (avg additional OT pay $15k+)

Field Service Controls Engineer/Technician Description

Our client in the control system solutions industry is looking for a Field Service Engineer/Technician to add to their team to service their clients in the United States. You will be responsible for the commissioning, installation, testing, analyzing, maintaining, repairing and training of equipment and associated products at customer sites, with emphasis on supporting various control systems for food processing and packaging. Our client is looking for someone with at least three years of experience programming PLCs and supporting automated control systems. To be successful in the role, you must be willing to travel to customer sites 45%-70% of the time. Field Service Controls Engineer/Technician Responsibilities

•    Commission, install, test, analyze, maintain, and repair equipment and associated products supporting various control systems
•    PLC controls review and evaluation; ladder logic troubleshooting, parameter changes
•    Service and support the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems
•    Travel to customer sites
•    Provide updates and modifications to machine control software at customer sites
•    Train customers on use and maintenance of equipment 
•    Coordinate development activities related to updating and improving machine functionality 
•    Troubleshoot and resolve control systems and connected equipment issues 
•    Maintain accurate records of all service, repair and other work, including proper completion of service repair orders, warranty and service agreement documentation
•    Process detailed expense and trip reports on all service visits, in a timely fashion

Field Service Controls Engineer/Technician Qualifications

•    3+ years of automated control systems experience required
•    3+ years’ experience modifying existing PLC/HMI programs using Allen Bradley software required
•    Experience with Variable Frequency Drives and motor controls required
•    Travel to customer sites required, between 45%-70% domestic overnight required
