Operations Manager (OEM Manufacturing | Facility Build-Out) Description

Our client, a growing OEM specializing in large-scale mechanical systems, is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to join their team in Dallas, TX (eastside) and help scale operations in their new facility. Reporting to the President, you will serve as the operational hub across production, inventory, quality, and engineering, while supporting ERP implementation and automation initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with experience in mechanical systems (fluids, piping, electrical, or assembly/fabrication) who enjoys improving workflow in a growing environment. You will build on an existing foundation – strengthening structure, alignment, and efficiency to support increasing demand. You’ll operate between the production floor and the office, staying close to real-time execution, working through managers and team leads, and ensuring projects stay on track and issues are resolved early. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role, with a rapidly growing company, with direct impact on the future of operations.

Operations Manager (OEM Manufacturing | Facility Build-Out) Responsibilities

•    Oversee assembly of large mechanical systems, working cross-functionally to align priorities 
•    Serve as central coordination point for production, engineering, quality, logistics, and inventory
•    Improve workflow, organization, and overall operational structure to support increased volume
•    Assist with facility layout, material flow, and inventory organization
•    Monitor floor activity, track project progress, identify issues early, and support resolution 
•    Support ERP implementation, and contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives 
•    Support the build-out of tooling, assembly, vendor relationships, and internal processes
•    Ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and ASME standards
•    Support leadership with capacity planning, vendor strategy, and operational decisions

Operations Manager (OEM Manufacturing | Facility Build-Out) Qualifications

•    Engineering background (degree or gained by hands-on work experience) required
•    5+ years’ operational leadership experience in manufacturing or production required
•    Experience scaling or improving operations in a growing facility required
•    Exposure to automation initiatives required 
•    Proficiency with ERP and business operating systems required
•    Comfortable being on the floor, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills
