Salary: $110,000-$130,000 + Straight Pay + Bonus Potential
Straight Pay: Typically, an additional $15,000-$20,000/year

[HYBRID] Senior Controls Engineer (controls system integration & Siemens exp. req.) Description
Our client, a project-based automation company, is searching for a Senior Controls Engineer to join their team in Indianapolis. In this role, you will program, debug, and commission various systems, including PLCs, robotics, and VFDs, while also handling electrical hardware design. As the Lead Engineer on projects, you'll interface with customers and vendors, gaining diverse experience in a small team of four engineers. If you prefer structured, routine-focused work, this position may not suit you. [HYBRID] Senior Controls Engineer (controls system integration & Siemens exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Design electrical hardware
• Program controls systems
• Setup, configure, and troubleshoot systems
• Serve as the lead engineer for projects
• Review schematics with customers and provide guidance
• Communicate cross-functionally to ensure project deliverables
• Write and edit software code for machines and systems
• Complete project documentation
• Pursue continued education for automation equipment
• Mentor and train more junior engineers
• Travel to clients to provide installation, testing, and support
[HYBRID] Senior Controls Engineer (controls system integration & Siemens exp. req.) Qualifications
• Siemens experience required
• PLC & HMI programming experience required
• Well-versed in controls hardware design required
• Travel around 30% required; typically, within Indiana (limited overnights)
Important Note: This role offers WFH flexibility after training. Depending on experience, onboarding can take 3-4 months. After you’ve assimilated, WFH can be 1-2 days each week depending on customer and project needs.
