Supply Chain / Procurement Manager (manufacturing exp. req.) Description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Supply Chain / Procurement professional to join their team in Bartholomew County, IN. You’ll manage end-to-end supply chain functions – including procurement, production planning, vendor relations, ERP optimization, and inventory turns – while helping improve systems and processes. The ideal candidate brings experience in manufacturing supply chain/procurement and ERP systems, willing to take a hands-on approach to improving systems and processes, is comfortable managing external vendors and internal relationships, and capable of owning and executing procurement and inventory turns.

Supply Chain / Procurement Manager (manufacturing exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Purchase materials, and issue, track, and resolve discrepancies on purchase orders
•    Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers; support cost containment initiatives
•    Support development and enforcement of vendor compliance and safety standards
•    Maintain accurate inventory levels, min/max thresholds, and replenishment strategies
•    Ensure material availability and production schedules align with customer demand
•    Anticipate and resolve material delays impacting production or delivery timelines
•    Communicate risks or delays proactively and propose mitigation steps
•    Ensure delivery schedules meet customer and internal expectations 
•    Contribute to continuous improvement projects and procurement process enhancements
•    Provide regular reporting on procurement performance, cost savings, and inventory turns
•    Lead weekly cross-functional meetings to ensure orders are on time and in full
•    Represent supply chain in strategy meetings to support growth and customer satisfaction

Supply Chain / Procurement Manager (manufacturing exp. req.) Qualifications

•    Supply chain/procurement experience in manufacturing required
•    Production planning/scheduling experience required
•    Vendor relationship management experience required
•    Proficiency with ERP systems required
