[REMOTE] Territory Sales Manager (commercial insurance exp. req.) Description
Our client, a commercial insurance carrier, is looking for a Remote Territory Sales Manager to join their Team and oversee their Texas region. This territory has been supported by three other TMs in surrounding states. Given how much business they already have in this state, they’ve decided to grow their Sales Team and have local coverage. In this role, about 70% of your time will be spent on account management, nurturing relationships with their existing 25-35 agencies. The remaining time will be spent identifying prospective partners. Given how much time you will spend on account management, they are looking for candidates well-versed with commercial insurance policies who are accustomed to traveling to meet with clients in-person. Someone comfortable working in a remote environment where you are given the autonomy to run your region while still being accountable for its expansion. [REMOTE] Territory Sales Manager (commercial insurance exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Identify new agencies in territory to contact
• Collaborate to determine contracted agency eligibility
• Report findings and meeting results timely and consistently
• Evaluate and maintain contact with agents and underwriters
• Assist agents to help build profitable book of business
• Assist underwriting and brokers as needed
• Conduct in person meetings and conference calls with agency contacts
• Maintain a log of contacts including owners, producers, and support staff
• Discuss your agency plan and call objectives with VP of Marketing

• 5+ years of insurance experience required
• Experience with commercial insurance policies required
• Background working for either an insurance agency or insurance carrier required
• 50% travel required (typically day trips – limited overnights; company car provided)
