Contingent Workforce Program Manager Description

Our client is looking for a Contingent Workforce Program Manager to add to their team in Bay Area, CA. In this highly visible role, you will design and lead a global vendor and contractor management program.  You’ll build structure around a fast-growing contingent workforce, connecting the dots across Recruiting, HR, IT, Finance, and agency partners.  You’ll also create scalable processes that cover the entire contractor lifecycle, from intake and onboarding to offboarding and renewals.  If you thrive on building from the ground up, enjoy solving open-ended questions, and can turn a fragmented process into a streamlined, tech-enabled program, this is the role for you!

Contingent Workforce Program Manager Responsibilities

•    Establish and manage the end-to-end contingent workforce lifecycle
•    Create a centralized framework for contractor and vendor management, ensuring consistency across departments 
•    Partner with Finance, IT, Recruiting, and HR to align on compliance, systems access, orientation, and contractor experience 
•    Evaluate and refine how agency relationships are managed 
•    Build dashboards and metrics to provide visibility into headcount, spend, and performance 
•    Introduce automation and AI to improve tracking, reporting, and workforce operations 
•    Serve as the conduit across multiple teams, ensuring clear ownership, efficient workflows, and scalable solutions

Contingent Workforce Program Manager Qualifications

•    4+ years of experience managing contingent workforce, contractor, or vendor programs required
•    Experience building scalable, end-to-end processes that tie multiple systems together required 
•    Knowledge of worker classification, compliance, and co-employment risk required
