alary: $30-$40/hr. ($62,000-$83,000) + Paid OT (time and a half)

Security Systems Technician (security systems installation exp. req.) Description 

Our client, a well-established building controls and energy management company, is looking add a Security Systems Technician to their team in Jacksonville, FL. Majority of their clients are within the Greater Jacksonville area allowing for a better work/life balance with limited extended travel. Aside from being home practically every night, you will benefit from a more inclusive, people-first company environment. Whether your experience comes from video monitoring systems or building alarms, we are seeking candidates with strong experience in installation and configuration of electronic security systems. You will work across systems including Avigilon, Lenel, Milestone, and Andover, allowing you to expand your scope of work. Important Note: Their customers are fairly concentrated in the Jacksonville area. The most extensive travel will be to Savannah and Thomasville, GA or to the Orlando and Tallahassee area. 

Security Systems Technician (security systems installation exp. req.) Responsibilities

•    Install and configure security systems
•    Mount equipment, perform commissioning, and test functionality 
•    Read and understand electrical schematic wiring diagrams
•    Diagnose and repair malfunctions in security systems 
•    Perform routine maintenance and testing to ensure ongoing reliability     
•    Interact with clients as needed to understand their security needs
•    Provide technical support and document work 
•    Travel to clients and perform cloud-based work as needed 
•    Pursue additional training and foster a culture of continuous improvement

Security Systems Technician (security systems installation exp. req.) Qualifications  

•    Minimum 2 years of experience installing electronic security systems required 
•    Ability to interpret electrical schematic wiring diagrams required 
•    Field travel (typically local) required
