Senior Project Manager (Industrial Facility Expansion) Description

Our client, a leader in the electrical manufacturing industry, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the transformation of manufacturing space just southwest of Pittsburgh, PA. This is a high-visibility, long-term opportunity to manage a complex, multi-phase construction project involving demolition, structural modifications, and installation of new mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate brings a background in industrial environments, strong project leadership, and expertise in either mechanical or electrical systems. After the initial two-year project, there is significant potential for continued project leadership and advancement into broader operational roles.

Senior Project Manager (Industrial Facility Expansion) Responsibilities

•    Lead major construction scope including shell work, roofing, and structural changes
•    Oversee and coordinate the installation of HVAC, electrical, and utility infrastructure
•    Plan and sequence specialized equipment installation to meet production timelines
•    Lead interface with contractors, vendors, and third-party engineering firms
•    Monitor and manage project budgets and construction-related expenses
•    Interpret and review technical drawings, specifications, and plans
•    Ensure full compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols
•    Support workflow optimization and production planning
•    Supervise internal team members including Project Manager and Document Control Specialist
•    Maintain project schedules and ensure key milestones are achieved
•    Coordinate infrastructure and process equipment installations
•    Approve contractor invoices and evaluate vendor performance
•    Facilitate internal reporting and project status meetings

Senior Project Manager (Industrial Facility Expansion) Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related is required
•    10+ years of industrial project or facilities management experience required
•    Experience managing large-scale, technically complex industrial projects is required
•    Experience with equipment installations is required
•    Proficiency in reading technical drawings and engineering documents is required
•    OSHA training and safety compliance knowledge is required
•    Ability to work 100% on-site is required
