Controls Engineer (Fluid Dynamics & PLC/HMI Exp. Req.) Description

Our client is seeking a Controls Engineer to develop and implement automation solutions for fluid process systems in the food, dairy, and beverage industries. This role involves a mix of in-office work, remote flexibility, and field visits, offering hybrid work options. Responsibilities include designing efficient system architectures, utilizing PLC and HMI software, and applying fluid dynamics principles to optimize equipment performance. You will also oversee electrical layouts and on-site commissioning, ensuring tailored solutions that meet customer needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in Allen-Bradley platforms, process equipment sizing, and industrial automation.

Controls Engineer (Fluid Dynamics & PLC/HMI Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

•    Design, program, and implement PLCs, HMIs, and fluid process automation systems
•    Perform process system sizing for pumps, valves, tanks, and heat exchangers
•    Develop and troubleshoot electrical designs, including panel layouts and schematics
•    Create and manage P&ID documentation and technical specifications
•    Conduct on-site installation, startup, and commissioning of systems
•    Integrate systems using industrial networks like EtherNet/IP
•    Travel regionally to client sites (up to 20%) for fieldwork and troubleshooting 

Controls Engineer (Fluid Dynamics & PLC/HMI Exp. Req.) Qualifications

•    PLC programming (Allen-Bradley platforms) experience required
•    HMI design experience required
•    Knowledge of fluid dynamics required
•    Low-voltage electrical design & layout experience required
•    Familiarity with common industrial networks required
