Business Administrator (Bookkeeping exp. req.) Description
Our client, an IT Service Provider in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Business Administrator for day-to-day business operations and provide administrative, operational, and accounting support. Reporting to the Business Manager, this role assists the business manager in ensuring smooth back office operations of a small team (12-15 employees) with various office functions. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic, growing environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to play a key role during a pivotal expansion phase, with the potential to take on additional responsibilities as the company grows.
Business Administrator (Bookkeeping exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Manage office support needs, including maintenance, supplies, and errands
• Liaise with landlords, insurance brokers, and attorneys to ensure smooth operations
• Handle insurance reporting, audits, and compliance with brokers and carriers
• Oversee company vehicle maintenance, including inspections and logistics
• Ensure office safety compliance with landlord policies
• Provide cross-departmental support and foster collaboration
• Plan and organize events, including in-house and off-site activities
• Assist with accounting, payroll, tax returns, audits, and 401(k) administration in a backup capacity
• Support special projects and additional tasks as assigned
Business Administrator (Bookkeeping exp. req.) Qualifications
• 3+ years of business operations/office management experience required
• Professional services industry experience required
• Experience managing/supporting an office of under 50 employees required
• QuickBooks Online experience required
• Basic bookkeeping (A/R, A/P, reconciliation) experience required
