[Hybrid] Purchasing/Order Entry Specialist (Inventory Mgmt exp req) Description

Our client in the home improvement industry is looking for two (2) Purchasing/Order Entry Specialists to add to their team in either Braintree, MA, or Nashua, NH. In this position, you will be responsible for working with the internal team as well as external customers answering general inquiries, performing order processing, and work effort. This position is also responsible for accurate sales order entry, purchasing, and expediting of products and other related items per the sales order. The ideal candidate will have experience with purchasing/order entry and inventory management as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize work based on the current situation. After the initial 2 months of in-office training, this position can then transition to a hybrid work position.

[Hybrid] Purchasing/Order Entry Specialist (Inventory Mgmt exp req) Responsibilities

• Place orders with vendors according to the vendors’ ordering procedures
• Create purchase orders and append to sales orders
• Maintain the Ordering File system on the shared drive structure
• Follow up on orders daily
• Communicate with sales managers on any issues, delays, or backlog of orders
• Assist designers with sourcing or quoting products
• Communicate any changes with vendors on reviewed confirmations
• Verify order is placed with vendors and update the PO and sales orders as needed
• Update the PO/POS system
• Process credits to customers and supplier returns using established credit policies
• Schedule delivery of product (collect balance due) and alert designer/delivery team
• Manage inbound calls for the customer service department

[Hybrid] Purchasing/Order Entry Specialist (Inventory Mgmt exp req) Qualifications

• 2+ years of Purchasing/Order Entry experience required
• 1+ years of inventory management experience required
• Experience or ability to learn home design software required
• Strong Microsoft office experience in a shared directory environment
• Previous experience working in a sales/distribution company
