Accounting Specialist (QuickBooks exp req) Description

Our client in the facilities services industry is looking for an Accounting Specialist to add to their team in Van Nuys, CA. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will play an integral part in identifying areas of improvement, making recommendations on solutions, and implementing the step necessary to resolve the issue. You will also support accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing ensuring that all deadlines are met. The ideal candidate has strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; and is able to develop and set up QuickBooks structures and determine PO system needs.. Accounting Specialist (QuickBooks exp req) Responsibilities

• Process customer payments with outstanding invoices
• Prepare all vouchers/approved invoices for payment
• Process all company payments
• Analyze and track accounts payable amounts; prepare accounts payable checks
• File quarterly sales taxes
• Reconcile credit card/bank payments
• Maintain accounts payable files and records
• Develop and implement a Purchase Order system
• Develop and implement an inventory control system
• Prepares analysis of accounts as required
• Prepare 1099s
• Resolve invoice discrepancies
• Submit time care information (including commissions) to payroll

Accounting Specialist (QuickBooks exp req) Qualifications

• Associate's degree required
• 3+ years of Accounting Specialist experience required
• Experienced with making changes to QuickBooks structure required
• Experienced with Purchase Order systems and Inventory Control systems required
• Advanced experience with Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas) required
